My Life as a Guild Leader
For some time now I have been the Guild Leader of a World of Warcraft Classic guild called "The Disbanded". We started out in another guild called "Magic and Steel" but one night the GM just disbanded the guild and put us all on ignore. But from that we regathered under the new name and leadership.
From those confusing beginnings we have built up into a 300+ member raiding guild that is known as one the most friendly guilds on the server. As a main healer, I have helped and mentored several healers to push from 5-mans into 20 & 40 man raids. I have helped and encouraged our main tanks to build them selves up and become competent raid leaders that I would follow into battle till 3 in the morning.
There is a lot of "I" statements in that paragraph but I know that it wasn't just me doing all of this. The guild would be nothing if I didn't have the members of the guild backing me every step of the way. Many members helped me grind for my gear and for other peoples gear. We have spent HOURS in felwood killing demons for felcloth. We have spent countless hours grinding for Larval Acids in Eastern Plaguelands. Hours in Blackrock Mountain doing quests, attunes, and gear grinds.
We had random fun as well. Some of my favorite times were the non game play things we did. Such as Hide and Seek in Stormwind and Trivia night. And I really enjoyed making sure every new member had the best bags possible, even if I complained about it.
I am super thankful and proud of this guild and all of the members that have come and gone in my time here. Every member has touched me in some way, but some of you get a special call out.
Ryi, you helped me and guildies so much during the early days while we leveled. I'm sorry that you burnt out and haven't logged in since. We made it to raiding, I wish you had with us as well.
Bogantas, we did so much grinding together. I really enjoyed your company and I had hoped that you would come back from your "1 month break".
Shmeebleborp, Jelq, Bhonchie, the finest warriors that never got to do raiding with us. We were so close when you stopped logging on.
Huck, Beebelaise, Ooh, I hope I was able to help/steer your healing in a good way.
Wizzley, it has been so fun watching you level and become the wizard you are today. You used to avoid dungeons and now you are raiding like a pro.
Charie, Father is so proud of. You have surpassed me as a healer.
Blondie, I don't know what happened to you, but I miss you. I hope you are alright.

Caledar, I would follow you into hell and back. You are one of the best tanks I have healed. You are a wonderful person. Stay #overconfident !

Bibitte, it broke my heart when you moved Beebelaise to another guild, but I was also so proud of you for getting passed your healing anxieties and moving into a guild that was doing 40 mans.
Cami, I hope you continue your journey. I was honored to accompany you to your first 60. I hope you continue and experience more of the end game content. Thank you for all your help with the guild, I know leadership is something that you avoid, but you are amazing and wonderful.
PhillipFry, I don't know if you realize how much support you have provided to me. You were a rock that I could always count on. I hope that you can fully commit to taking over, but I understand if not.
Haltranger, you are the reason we are even here. If it wasn't for you setting up the guild and helping me to scrape together all the lost members of "Magic and Steel", we wouldn't be here today. I wasn't going to do it on my own. I'll never forget that night that you asked me to help you rebuild the disbanded, you changed my life that night.
One final thank you. Thank you to everyone. You have taught me that I am ready and able to be a good leader. There are things in real life that I have been on the fence about and this experience has taught me that I can go for it. Thank you.
